When a resident’s immediate family recommends The Laurel to a friend or family member, they are helping another family discover compassionate, specialized memory care in Vernon Hills. To show our appreciation, we offer a resident referral reward when that individual chooses The Laurel and completes the program requirements.
How The Laurel Resident Referral Program Works
A resident’s immediate family member may refer a friend or family member to The Laurel by completing the community’s referral form.
The referral form may be:
- Returned directly to The Laurel
- Submitted by the person making the referral
- Submitted by the person being referred
- Emailed to connect@laurelvernonhills.com
When the referred individual moves into The Laurel and resides in the community for at least 30 days, the referring resident will receive a rent credit.
Resident Referral Rewards
The Laurel’s referral reward is:
- Refer 1 friend: $1,200 rent credit
- Refer 2 friends: $2,400 rent credit
- Refer 3 friends: $3,600 rent credit
There is no cap on referrals. The more friends and family members you refer, the more rent credit you can earn.

How to Submit a Referral
Submitting a referral is simple:
1. Download and complete The Laurel’s resident referral form.
2. Include the resident’s name and the referring family member’s contact information.
3. Provide the name and contact information of the person being referred.
4. Return the completed form to The Laurel or email it to connect@laurelvernonhills.com.
5. Once the referred individual moves in and resides at The Laurel for 30 days, we will confirm when the rent credit will be applied.
To ensure the referral is properly recorded, we recommend submitting the form before or at the beginning of the prospective resident’s conversation with our community.
