At The Woodlake Senior Living, resident wellness is supported by more than outstanding assisted living and memory care—it’s strengthened by a full suite of on-site health services designed to reduce stress, support aging comfortably, and deliver high-quality care without ever leaving the community. Through coordinated on-site medical oversight, dental care, podiatry, and physical, occupational, and speech therapy, residents experience convenience, continuity, and compassion every day.
This comprehensive approach not only improves outcomes—it provides peace of mind for families who want trustworthy, accessible care for their loved ones.
As seniors age, transportation challenges, chronic conditions, mobility limitations, and cognitive changes can make off-site medical appointments stressful—or even unsafe. On-site care solves these challenges by bringing providers directly into the community.
For residents, this means:
For families, it means:
And for Memory Care residents in particular, receiving care in a known environment significantly reduces anxiety.
The Woodlake’s commitment to exceptional wellness begins with our on-site medical oversight through Medical Director Dr. Stringer. As the community’s primary clinical leader, Dr. Stringer ensures high-quality, consistent care and supports residents with timely medical guidance right where they live.
Families may choose to have Dr. Stringer serve as their loved one’s primary care physician, enabling even closer coordination. He works directly with the Director of Care and nursing team to provide timely support and streamlined communication.
Tranquility Onsite Dental delivers full-service mobile dentistry directly to The Woodlake, making preventive and restorative care easy, convenient, and accessible for all mobility levels. Their dentists are Certified Dementia Practitioners, ensuring a gentle approach for residents with memory loss.
Tranquility Dental visits The Woodlake regularly. Residents can be scheduled through the community team or by contacting their office directly at (925) 644-2700. Visit notes and recommendations are shared with families and staff.
Every six weeks, Dr. Karen Romines provides on-site podiatry services that support mobility, comfort, and safety. With expertise in age-related foot conditions, she ensures residents receive timely, preventive care without leaving the community.

Dr. Romines visits every six weeks. Families may schedule through the community or by calling (800) 869-9203 ext. 1. All visit notes and recommendations are communicated back to staff and loved ones.
The Woodlake is expanding its health services through a new partnership with Fox Rehab, a leader in senior-focused therapy. Full PT/OT/ST services begin January 2026, but residents can begin benefiting earlier—on-site fitness instruction launches November 11.
Fox Rehab coordinates with nursing, Life Enrichment, and Dr. Stringer to ensure therapy aligns with each resident’s goals. Families will be notified as services roll out and can request evaluations directly through The Woodlake team.
One of the biggest strengths of The Woodlake’s on-site services is coordination.
Every provider—including Dr. Stringer, Tranquility Dental, Dr. Romines, and Fox Rehab—communicates directly with:
This ensures:
Nothing is siloed—everything works together.
Families consistently tell us that on-site services give them:
All care happens in one place—no driving, scheduling, or waiting rooms.
Reduces ER visits, fall risks, and the confusion of off-site appointments.
Same providers, recurring visits, and seamless communication.
Residents stay healthier, stronger, and more comfortable.
Loved ones are supported by a complete wellness team.
Families can schedule services in two ways:
We coordinate everything internally. Call us at 916-604-3780 or click here to contact us today!
Every appointment is communicated back to staff and families for full transparency.
The Woodlake provides four key on-site services: medical oversight with our Medical Director Dr. Stringer, on-site dental care through Tranquility Dental, on-site podiatry care with Dr. Karen Romines, and coming soon—physical, occupational, and speech therapy through Fox Rehab. These services help residents receive convenient, coordinated care without leaving the community.
On-site medical oversight ensures faster response times, more consistent monitoring of chronic conditions, and better communication between providers and staff. When families choose Dr. Stringer as the resident’s primary care physician, this coordination becomes even stronger—reducing avoidable hospital visits and keeping care unified.
Tranquility Dental brings full-service mobile dentistry directly to The Woodlake, including cleanings, x-rays, fillings, extractions, dentures, gum disease treatment, and emergency evaluations. Their dentists are Certified Dementia Practitioners, making them ideal for residents with memory loss.
