If you are looking for the perfect place for your loved one who is aging with memory issues look no further. Shadow Mountain has been a godsend to me and my 92-year-old dad. The staff is amazing the culture is one of care and love, each and every person I have encountered here excels in their position. From Caregivers to Administration to Food Service and everyone in between, these people are amazing. My Dad has never been happier and more important healthier than he has been in a long time. He is engaged in activities with encouragement from the team that are age and gender appropriate for his place in this journey. Shadow Mountain is always immaculate and maintained beautifully to create the inviting atmosphere that has allowed my Dad to thrive. This community does an outstanding job of providing care for their residents. As a Senior Living Advisor, I tour communities with families looking for a home for their loved one facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s/dementia. Every member of the staff has been trained in the best way to interact with those suffering from memory loss, so they are treated with dignity and respect. My family is sincerely grateful that we were led to Shadow Mountain Memory Care. My mother and father were living in a facility that offered Independent/ Assisted and Memory Care services. Although they offered a variety of services they did not perform any of the services well. When my father was in need of Memory Care services, he was placed behind a locked door. What happened behind that door was a tragedy. Two care givers for 40 patients?? No personalized care!! We were in need of a desperate change and a new solution. Shadow Mountain Memory Care was highly recommended. We chose SMMC after touring 5 other facilities that offered Memory Care services. The difference was night and day. My father was welcomed with open arms on day 1 and has received personalized care each and every day he has been there. The care providers are outstanding…they truly care about the patients they are servicing. Misty and her team are always pleasant to deal with and always willing to have conversations to improve care. We are so thankful that our Father is at SMMC. At SMMC he has peace, safety, security and socialization and is living his best life.

I LOVE Shadow Mountain Memory Care! This facility has welcomed both my husband, who suffers from early onset Alzheimer’s, and myself with open arms, we feel like we’re part of a family there. You feel the uplifting energy immediately as you step inside, always welcomed with smiles, and hugs, too, if you need them. The willingness to accommodate individual needs with creative solutions is unsurpassed, which has been extremely important for my husband to be able to settle in. This is a little piece of Heaven for anyone suffering from Alzheimer’s or dementia, I easily give this facility 5 stars.

My husband and I sing at various memory care and retirement centers in the Phoenix area. Shadow Mountain Memory Care is one of the most caring places that we have performed at. The staff is so genuine, caring and loving towards the residents. It is touching to see the staff encourage, hug them, make them smile and laugh, dance with them, and interact with them in the most caring ways. Shadow Mountain has been purposefully designed to have an accommodation that will work well for your loved one. We offer a wide variety of floor plans, including shared and private suites, each designed to be the right place for individual preferences and budgets. There are no buy-in fees and no long-term lease arrangements.

As a private pay community, we understand that navigating senior care costs can be challenging. While we do not accept Medicaid or ALTCS, we’re happy to connect families with helpful resources, including information on VA benefits, long-term care insurance, and other financial assistance options. If our community isn’t the right financial fit, we’re still here to guide you in finding quality care that aligns with your budget.
