After my father died, I moved my mother to memory care in Beaverton in April 2023. Even though Waterhouse Ridge had a very low review score, I chose it, because at the time, it was clean, it didn't smell, and it was close to my house making it easier to visit my mother. Since that time, the management and care staff have completely changed. The current management staff have addressed the issues which were present when I first moved my mother into the facility. I have found the current caregivers, to be very attentive to my mother's needs and to treat her like a family member as opposed to another old lady with dementia. My mother passed away 2 weeks ago, but I'm glad I had her in Waterhouse Ridge and I certainly would recommend this facility to my friends and family who were in need of their services.

My wife was in a much larger facility with much higher costs prior to Waterhouse. She was with Waterhouse for an extended period of time. My assessment is that their staff is very well trained to handle the huge task they have undertaken. They are always available and willing to handle my questions and provide information. At the larger facility there were occasions where she needed medical care that they did not act upon. When I learned of those at visits I took care of getting help myself. I recommend Waterhouse very highly.

My Mom was a resident there. She was so unhappy at her former assisted care home. I moved her to Waterhouse Ridge this last summer, and she lived out the rest of her life with loving care and comfort. The staff took excellent care of her and worked well as a team with hospice, ensuring loving care and support in her final days. I recommend this home to anyone looking for a caring, clean, experienced facility for your loved one.

Long distance moving our 94 yr old was a challenge; but their staff helped us tremendously in coordinating everything. This is a lovely, secure facility with activities available and a cheerful, attentive staff. Our visits since the move in reaffirm we made the right decision.

A Place for Mom

My Mom just moved in from a nightmarish situation from an adult care home who were not adequately trained in memory care. What a huge difference, already! My Mom's "spark" is coming back. She is using more verbal language here, she isn't over-medicated like she was at the former home, and she is constantly SMILING and cracking jokes. When I arrived today, staff were assisting my Mom with her bathroom needs. She let them help, which shows that she is developing a trusting relationship with the caregivers. I cannot tell you how wonderful this is to see. I'm very happy she moved here.
